This is a new design in the collage series It reminds me of the old TV lamps from the 50"s. It's just a flat surface open in the back where the bulb is. I was doing a regular round shade design one day and thought gee I wish this could just be flat so I could see the whole design at the same time and not have to turn the shade to see it. Excuse the pun, but bing the lightbulb went on. I literally walked out into the alley and found a piece of wood and my neighbor cut it to size for me and that was the prototype of the design. This design would work well for the Family Album series too.
