These brooches are made with found antique bits and pieces. Each brooch is assembled by a process called "caging". I wire every piece and bead onto a metal dome with holes and cover it in the back. I don't use any glue in the process. I first saw this technique used in vintage jewelry, most famously by the designer Miriam Haskell. The beautifully detailed antique brass findings are called pinchbeck. Every brooch is unique, and measures approximately 2 1/4 inches square.
Price: $200.00 each.
